Dr. Jennifer Benincasa is a highly accomplished osteopathic medical physician with a distinguished career in the United States Army. Currently, she holds the position of Chief, Aeromedical Reviewer/Flight Surgeon at the US Army Aeromedical Activity (USAAMA) in Fort Rucker, Alabama. Her expertise in aerospace medicine is further highlighted by her previous role as the Program Director of the Aerospace Medicine Residency at the US Army School of Aviation Medicine (USASAM), also located in Fort Rucker.
Dr. Benincasa’s military assignments have included serving as the Command Surgeon and Installation Public Health Emergency Officer at the US Army Sustainment Command in Rock Island Arsenal, Illinois. She has also been the Brigade Flight Surgeon for the 25th Combat Aviation Brigade in Hawaii, where she led the Aviation Medicine Clinic, and the Battalion Flight Surgeon for the 412th Aviation Support Battalion in Germany. Her medical training is extensive, with residencies in both Aerospace Medicine at the Naval Aerospace Medical Institute (NAMI) and Occupational Medicine at USASAM. Dr. Benincasa was also a General Surgery Resident at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu and completed a Transitional Year Internship at Madigan Army Medical Center in Washington.
